SmiteFest

SmiteFest is an irregularly-scheduled afternoon and evening of games, pizza  and awesome. All Seattle-area gamers are invited.

We generally alternate between videogames and tabletop games. SmiteFest 3 on October 17th, 2009 will be VIDEOGAMES.

When?

Saturday, October 17, 2009 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Where?

The big space beneath Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore (it’s called the “undercroft” in Episcopalian)

How much?

It’s on us. If you really want to give money to someone, we’ll provide an opportunity to donate to Child’s Play.

Who’s “us”?

The geeks of Redeemer; an alliance of gamers, science fiction fans, manga readers, medieval history nerds, hippies, artists and punks.

What are we playing?

Rock Band 2, definitely. We’re working out what else we’ll be playing this time around. And of course there’s whatever you bring.

Will there be…you know…churchy stuff?

Not at SmiteFest, no. After we finish, Redeemer will be holding its weekly half-hour Compline service at 9:00. Compline is a peaceful, meditative way to end the week, and you’re more than welcome to come. Friendly Episcopalians will be available to answer questions.
